What is static? Who is ever static?
I take digital photographs and then make interventions and edits to make them more personal to me in some way.
They’ve become a form of psychological introspection that always seems to reveal what I didn’t even realise at the time of taking the photograph.
Because I needed to, I took steps to be completely alone and quiet and safe. My attempts were successful. I found these fields, this mist and this silence. Dawn in January.
Mission accomplished, now what.
It took a long time to turn down the anxiety, the thoughts, the fears and scenes that I’d brought with me.
After a while they didn’t matter as much.
I have them printed onto beautiful, warm Hahnemühle photorag archival paper.
The image measures 300×300mm.
I hand sign and number each of the 5 editions.
